Your Contribution to the Community
All of the profits from OsoamCCC go directly to the community
When you volunteer, we want to purchase food for your meals from local providers. When you trek, we want to hire local guides for a reasonable wage. When you want to relax, we source your amenities from local providers.
We hire local guides, buy local food, source local workers for projects, and want to build our community sustainably with help from you. We are very proud of our newly built school which focuses on Khmer general knowledge, English learning, computer classes, environmental issues, and sports classes. We believe that the way to change the habits of people in Osoam is through education. Our classes teach students about the unsustainable nature of how the community currently treats our surroundings, and provides a sustainable alternative: EcoTourism.
We provide student with knowledge that will help them embrace this change: English language, computer skills, vocational training, and agricultural skills. The school of OsoamCCC covers issues such as sanitation, waste management, and sustainable farming. These are topics that are not common knowledge in the Cardamom Mountains.
We hope to implement vocational trainings in the future to teach residents a skill that they can make into a career. These trainings focus on handicrafts, including work with bamboo, rattan, and silk.
With your contribution, it allows us to change the future of our community sustainably for generations to come.

What you can do
Volunteering
Price ranges based on how long you stay and your accommodation choice (bungalow, camping, hammock.) We offer many other discounts on top of the price for each meal and extra excursions and trips around the village and surrounding area. We have ambitions for short term and longer term projects which included local schooling to include tourism and English lessons; building a water filter to cut down on use of plastic bottles; educating about recycling; building bungalows and accommodation for local people and tourists. Unfortunately we still need to charge a price for your help to encourage more locals to join the project and build the infrastructure. Soon we hope to be able to add a way to donate towards our ongoing projects such as paying towards water tanks, water filters, and accommodation
To volunteer, we include 3 meals a day plus accommodation (please remember prices vary depending on accommodation and length of stay):
• 1 person - $75/week
• 2 people (shared room) - $65p.p./week
The cost goes directly to food and the community projects. Please contact us to discuss a price and your budget! Currently electronic or card payments are not available, please bring cash.
